Tale of a Tail

Inspired by Spain’s rich heritage and the timeless tales of Don Quijote, these textile designs connect storytelling with craftsmanship. Intricate patterns echoes Spain’s cathedrals and textures of daily life, while earthy tones mirror its landscapes and skies.

Horses, the symbol of grace and strength, are central to her practice, woven into both materials and narratives. Alia aims to preserve these traditions while reimagining them for today, weaving the past into the present.

Light and medium sorell chestnut.

Created on a 4-harness floor loom.
