She earned her degree in Fibers and Textiles with a minor in Equestrian Studies (BFA Honors Fibers) from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), solidifying her passion for blending heritage with innovation. Fibers and textiles are part of her DNA, a legacy passed down through generations, from her grandmother being a fashion designer and her grandfather in the rag trade instilling a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and intimate storytelling. Her deep-rooted love for horses is intricately woven into her textiles, with a specialized artisan fusion of tradition and innovation.

Tale in textiles

Each piece she creates is more than art, it is a woven narrative of memories and emotions, brought to life through handcrafted design that carry both symbolic depth and aesthetic beauty. Horses remain central to her artistic expression, their presence reflected in the materials and movements within her work. The coarse yet radiant quality of horsehair blends effortlessly with fibers like alpaca wool and cotton, forming a striking interplay of texture and pattern. Using dobby and floor loom techniques she introduces cool, earthy tones, mirroring the majestic grace of a horse’s flowing tail. Her weavings are a testament to the harmonious relationship between art and nature, capturing the deep connection between humans and animals.
